Wendell Berry on Resurrection

“Practice resurrection.”

From “Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front”

This quote caught me by surprise. How would one practice resurrection, particularly in light of the unique resurrection of Jesus? Resurrection is, after all, at the heart of what Paul called the ‘ministry of reconciliation’. So how do we do it, short of emptying out the morgues and funeral homes?

The whole poem suggests some ways, deeply subversive (but not likely to get you arrested) ways. Read it and see what you think.
