Journalist Rena Pederson has written a book about a female apostle. No, it’s not about “apostle to the apostles” Mary Magdalene (though Pederson admits that DVC fever probably helps her sales). The Lost Apostle tells the story of Junia, whom Paul calls “outstanding among the apostles” in Romans 16.7. Modern translations differ on their use of Junia (feminine) and Junias (masculine).
It’ll be interesting to see what she says.
