Joel Osteen: Second Wave

The Smile-onator’s next book, Become a Better You, is already a megaseller.

  1. I can’t figure out what bugs me the most about this whole package: the everlasting smile, the fact that almost everything he says is laced with truth (to make it look pretty?), or the fact that there is a part of me that wants to read it so i can become better and have a happy life. I don’t know the guy, if he thinks he’s pushing people to Christ or if he’s just trying to help people FEEL good, but what an obvious symptom of what’s hiding in all our hearts – the desire for a comfortable life. I want my life to work too! I try to figure out how to make that happen on my own too! And if i had a platform, i would probably try to teach others that way, especially if the things i had been doing were “working”. May the Lord have mercy on me, a sinner.
